Architecture / Pioneering Women

Pioneering Women of American Architecture is a collection of profiles of women who have made important contributions to American architecture. All of these women were born before 1940. The list was edited by Mary McLeod and Victoria Rosner and the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation.

Genia Averbuch, Elsa Gidoni, and Schomo Ginsburg, Café-Restaurant at the Levant Fair, Tel Aviv, Palestine, 1934.  Her first job was working for Norman Bel Geddes on General Motors’s Futurama exhibit at the 1939 World’s Fair.

Sadly, I wasn't familiar with a lot of the women profiled. I'm looking forward to seeing who gets added. I'm surprised Esther McCoy isn't on the list yet. And what about Greta Grossman?
